Chris Sligh is 28 years old, hails from Greenville, South Carolina, and attended Bob Jones University. He auditioned in Birmingham and sang "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal, after which Paula gave a standing ovation and stated, "I like you very much." Paula, Simon, and Randy laughed at his ambition "to make David Hasselhoff cry" (a nod to the Season 5 finale where David Hasselhoff did, in fact, cry). When he made it to the top 24, Simon said that he was not the strongest singer of the bunch, but has a great personality.
